Swing, Hit, Ace Youth Tennis

A summer camp, not a season
Tennis at Bryan Youth Sports runs as a skills camp in the summer rather than a league with a fall or spring season. There is one window each year to sign up, and no weekly game schedule to work around. Players get concentrated time on court across a single week instead of an hour here and there over a few months.

Who can play
Grades K through 8, based on the school year just finished. The camp splits into two groups so players are on court with others near their own age and size. Kindergarten through 4th grade takes the first session, 5th through 8th grade follows right after, and each session runs about 75 minutes.

Where it happens
The Bryan High School tennis courts, mornings, for one week in June. It is run through Swing, Hit, Ace, the USTA's youth tennis program, so the coaching follows a curriculum built for beginners rather than tournament players. Kids who have never held a racquet are the point, not the exception.

Dates and cost for next summer
Dates, session times, cost and the registration deadline are set each spring, so they are not posted year round. When registration opens it shows up on our camps page, and you can always get in touch to be told when it does. You can read more about the program itself at USTA Swing, Hit, Ace.
